Blackrock Renovation

This large family home was outdates and under utilized by the family. A new lease of life was required, as such the Kitchen, Family Room, Entrance Hall and Living Room were all refurbished. 

The kitchen is now the heart of the home, filled with ample natural light and warm natural earthy tones. The shaker kitchen units painted in a rich Treron Green by Farrow & Ball, complementing Colourtrends Bali Sand on the walls and the warm wood effect floor tiles. A large kitchen island double as a breakfast bar and works seamlessly along side the large solid wood dining table and high-backed chairs.

The sitting boast a beautiful central marble fireplace, with new built-in units in the alcoves. Custom-made furniture ensure that the space is optimized with A the two teal feature armchairs in a large bay-window, complementing the large off-white sofas. Black stained wooden tables, black throws and lamp stands provide contract and definition. 

The entrance is a bright and welcoming, it blends classical architecture with modern finishes.  The floor was retiled using large bright tiles with black diamond-shaped tozzetto inserts, creating a timeless finish.  The central staircase was restored with dark wood treads and handrails, providing a warm contract to the white balustrade and risers. The detail on the rounded bottom step added a soft, inviting touch. 

Finally the family room, features a sophisticated modern transitional design, balancing clean lines with plush, comfortable textures. The space is anchored by a neutral palette of cream, taupe and charcoal, punctuated by deep navy accents.  The new custom built media unit, features a dark wood slatted backdrop for the TV, flanked by off-white open shelving and long low profile floating credenza for storage.

Ballinteer, Dublin 16

This four-bed semi-detached property needed a new lease of life. Designs were done for flooring, lighting and furniture layouts. Recessed shelves were built into a decommissioned chimney breast. Coffered ceiling lighting along with multiple spot lights in both the sitting and dining rooms help to create a flexible lighting system for all occasions. These adjoining spaces are painted in Farrow & Balls Elephants Breath.   The kitchen and family area is full of fun and colour suitable for a young family. It optimises the bright airy feeling of this light-filled sunroom space. A combination of Burgundy, Teal and Mustard are used.

Dining Room, Kilmacud

This property needed a bit of TLC, the decor was tired and old fashioned! The dining room carpet was replaced with Karndean Luxury Vinyl floor. It contains a bespoke pyramid pattern made from black, white and oak. It is truly a show stopping feature in the space. 

The entrance hall needed a coherent colour scheme and a decluttering of the wall. It is now a claim welcoming entrance.

The space bedroom was repurposed into a dressing room, with new bespoke built-in wardrobes, blush pink luxury carpet and fabulous floral wallpaper.

There were a number of elements to this project. The client wanted to reorganised the kids bedrooms and to update their kitchen. The kitchen was over flowing due to the lack of storage. As such, two new tall kitchen units were installed and a radiator bench seat with storage was sourced and refurbished to meet their needs. Two tone kitchen units were installed along with new smokey-green subway tiles for the backsplash. Rose gold handles and fixture were used to complete the look.

The guest bedroom was repurposed into a shared bedroom for two young girls. Again storage was a key requirement so staggered bunkbeds were sources with an integrated wardrobe.  Blush pink blinds and a blue-grey rainbow wallpaper complete this charming bedroom.

Finally, nursery was repurposed into a playroom. This not only provided the girls with a brand new place to play but it also removed all toy cutter from around the rest of the home. This room was painted in soft pink with a new navy linen blind completing the space. Making it easily converted into a study space when they are older.

Shankill, County Dublin

The client needed to turn her spare room into a functional home office. She wanted  built-in units with plenty of storage and display space. She already owned a large adjustable desk so we designed the units around this. Two colours were used in the units to provide interest, with the back panelling being painted in the wall colour to add depth.

The space needed to be inviting and relaxing as it is used for both work and art. Lighting was improved and additional electrics were installed. The carpet was replaced with engineered oak floors to match the work tops and art table. The entire room, walls, ceilings, skirtings and the radiator were all painted in Farrow & Balls Pale Powder. Finally, a black pelmet and two tone linen curtains were installed to finish the space.

The space is now bright, relaxing and multi-functional.

Lucan, Dublin 20

This two bed duplex property needed to be updated to accommodate a young family of four. Storage was limited and spaces were cluttered. The over arching colour was magnolia which also had to go!

The kitchen was redesigned to include a new peninsula and built-in benches with storage. New units and Nettle Soup from Colour-trend makes the space feels larger, calmer and more functional. 

The entrance has been style in a dramatic mono-chrome fashion. Creating wow factor with fabulous new light fixtures and black doors. Additional storage was also included under the stairs which declutters the space making it feel welcoming and spacious. 

The bathrooms were completely redesigned, to incorporate double sinks with plenty of extra storage and larger shower and bath areas. 

The sitting room, office and both bedrooms were also redesigned, organised and styled. 

The property is now bright, colourful and clutter free, with storage provided for everything they own.

Transformation of playroom into a multifunctional games room. The perfect space for pre-teens to hang out with their friends while still being flexible and sophisticated enough to grow with them through secondary school.

Dormer in Dundrum, D14

This dormer room did not meet the needs of a pre-teen girls who required a better layout and flow within her bedroom. The rear of the room was dark with low ceiling preventing it from being a functional space. As such, new built-in wardrobes were designed to maximise both storage and functionality of the room overtime. 

A new dressing table was installed in the dormer window area and a larger desk for study was incorporated into the design. This space now meets the ever-changing needs of a young adult.

Boys Bedroom Update

Both boys bedrooms needed to be updated and refreshed from their toddler stage. They are now sophisticated pre-teen spaces which have the flexibility to grow with them through secondary school and beyond.

This master bedroom desperately needed some built-in wardrobes. Beautifully crafted bespoke wardrobes were installed by Bespace Kitchen. Complete with adjustable hanging, shelves and a vanity area. The reed green acrylic finish on the wardrobes matched seamlessly with soft pink wall colour.

The home owner wanted to change this attic into a multifunctional space. It is now used as a home office, a guest bedroom and a teen chill out zone. The sage green walls are calm and inviting for all who use the space.

Complete property renovation, including new windows, insulation, wiring, plumbing, decoration etc. 

The main structural work was done in the kitchen which was  extensively renovated. The two rooms across the back of the property were combined to make a large open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area, which is now the heart of the home.

Client wanted to redecorate their bedroom from a cream space into something with more warmth and feeling. It is now an inviting teal and yellow that is bright, calming and joyful.

They also needed to convert their attic space from a guest bedroom to a home office due to the pandemic. The space was decluttered, reconfigured and painted in a relaxing pale pink.

Sandyford Renovation

The complete renovation this of 2,500 square foot house, involved rewiring, plumbing, insulation and decoration throughout. 

A new country styles kitchen, utility room and WC with dog bath were all designed and installed downstairs. New walnut flooring was laid throughout the entire ground floor.   Large picture windows with incredible views over Dublin bay provide an amazing backdrop for the large formal sitting room and the kitchen.

A second large sitting room has been made into a playroom and will evolve with the children as they grow. Along with the five large bedrooms and attic space.

The Rectory, Sandyford, Dublin 18

Our client wanted to give his apartment a facelift before it was listed for sale. The spec was to make the space feel warm and inviting to maximise buyer interest. 

Before it was painted cream throughout, now it is a bright and cheerful space. We then staged the space with extra soft furnishings and decorative pieces to make it feel homely. The property was sold within weeks.

These clients wanted to change their large spare bedroom into an inviting space for their grandchildren to sleep and play. 

The room can now accommodate four children and there is plenty of storage of all their books, toys and games.
