Blackrock Renovation

This large family home was outdates and under utilized by the family. A new lease of life was required, as such the Kitchen, Family Room, Entrance Hall and Living Room were all refurbished.

The kitchen is now the heart of the home, filled with ample natural light and warm natural earthy tones. The shaker kitchen units painted in a rich Treron Green by Farrow & Ball, complementing Colourtrends Bali Sand on the walls and the warm wood effect floor tiles. A large kitchen island double as a breakfast bar and works seamlessly along side the large solid wood dining table and high-backed chairs.

The sitting boast a beautiful central marble fireplace, with new built-in units in the alcoves. Custom-made furniture ensure that the space is optimized with A the two teal feature armchairs in a large bay-window, complementing the large off-white sofas. Black stained wooden tables, black throws and lamp stands provide contract and definition.

The entrance is a bright and welcoming, it blends classical architecture with modern finishes. The floor was retiled using large bright tiles with black diamond-shaped tozzetto inserts, creating a timeless finish. The central staircase was restored with dark wood treads and handrails, providing a warm contract to the white balustrade and risers. The detail on the rounded bottom step added a soft, inviting touch.

Finally the family room, features a sophisticated modern transitional design, balancing clean lines with plush, comfortable textures. The space is anchored by a neutral palette of cream, taupe and charcoal, punctuated by deep navy accents. The new custom built media unit, features a dark wood slatted backdrop for the TV, flanked by off-white open shelving and long low profile floating credenza for storage.
